RAPID EVENT 
SYSTEM OF PLAY: 9 rounds Swiss System
TIME CONTROL: 25 minutes + 10 seconds additional time per move
TIE-BREAKS: Direct Encounter, Buchholz Cut 1, Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger 
CATEGORY:  1) Open (FIDE RATED) 2) Under-16

BLITZ EVENT 
SYSTEM OF PLAY: 9 rounds Swiss System

* For Open Category only, players without FIDE ID must get their FIDE ID before they are allowed to register. Please contact us for further information on the FIDE ID registration no later than 10th November 2017.

ENTRY FEE: The fee shall cover BOTH rapid and blitz events. No refunds will be given if a player chooses to participate in only one event. 

1. RM 20.00 for Under-16 Category (Born in or after 2001) 
2. RM 50.00 for Open Category – Malaysian FIDE Rated Player
3. RM 70.00 for Open Category – Malaysian NON-FIDE Rated Player
4. RM 150.00 for Open Category – International Participant (FIDE and NON-FIDE Rated Player) 
5. FREE ENTRANCE FEE for Malaysian IM / FM / NM / WIM / WFM / WNM

*Discount RM10 for Perakian (who was born, and/or currently studying, working or residing in Perak)
